Chapala Mayor Alejandro Aguirre has announced preliminary plans to develop an Olympic grade track and field facility at La Cristianía Park.
During a March 1 gathering with members of the Guerpardos Runners Club, he revealed that the Jalisco state government has pledged one million pesos and the municipality an equal amount toward construction of the 400-meter tartan athletics track, bleachers, warehouses and restrooms, adequate for a venue capable of hosting top level state and national competitions.
