Chapala’s Oscar star, Chapalense Estrella Arraiza Briseño, was in the limelight following last Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony, posing (at right) with colleague and winner Guillermo del Toro and his wife Kim.
Originally from Chapala, Arraiza is general director of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) and served as second unit production supervisor at the Taller del Cucho in Guadalajara where some sequences of del Toro’s Best Animated feature, “Pinocchio,” were created.
