Saturday, March 16, the seventh Feria de la Capirotada will be held at Ajijic’s waterfront Malecón, from 2 to 7 p.m.
It is a food fair showcasing varieties of Mexican-style bread pudding, a traditional sweet and savory dessert dish prepared during the season of Lent. Some participants will enter their dishes in a contest offering tasting samples to the public, some will sell carry-out portions of the pudding, some will do both.
