Chapala Mayor Alejandro Aguirre switches on the operation of a new well that will significantly improve water services for more than 5,500 residents of San Antonio Tlayacapan and the upper area of Riberas del Pilar.

According to Municipal Water and Sewer System (SIMAPA) officials, the well is 305 meters deep and has an extraction capacity of 16 liters per second, which will increase the availability of water in areas that have historically experienced water rationing and periods of low pressure, especially during months of peak demand.
