Volaris cuts flights due to ‘Trump effect’

Volaris, Mexico’s fastest growing domestic airline, has been forced to cut some of its scheduled flights inside and outside the country due to the “Trump effect.”

Passenger numbers fell between five and six percent in February and March, forcing airline directors to downgrade their 2017 growth estimate from 23 to 17 percent. Only two Volaris routes from Guadalajara will be affected: to Fort Lauderdale and Reynosa.
