Airbnb booms in Mexico

According to IndustryTrend.net, in the first six months of 2018 home-sharing hub Airbnb generated $US1.39 billion in sales throughout Mexico.

The website noted that the total is “equivalent to the construction of 1,500 kilometers of road.”  The most requested cities this summer have been Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, Cancun and Playa del Carmen. More than one million travelers stayed at Airbnb properties between June and August of this year, the Web site said.
