Tickets for the symbolic “Presidential Plane Lottery” – for which the prize is actually monetary and not the unwanted luxury Dreamliner – are flying off the shelves, according to some vendors.
“It’s like old times,” one vendor in Guadalajara told El Occidental newspaper.
Although the 500-peso tickets – or cachitos, as they are referred to – bear an image of the plane, the “special” lottery is offering 100 prizes, each worth 20 million pesos (just over $US1 million).
