Jalisco diver Alejandra Orozco, together with her partner Gaby Agúndez, took the bronze medal in the women’s synchronized 10-meter platform Monday evening at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
This was Orozco’s second Olympic medal; she won silver in the same event at London 2012 at age 15.
China’s Chen Yuxi and Zhang Jiaqi, ages 15 and 17 respectively, won the gold, and the U.S. pair of Jessica Parratto and Delaney Schnel the silver.
“Gaby and I have dreamed and worked at this for many years and are happy and satisfied to have reached our goal,” Orozco said.
