The Jalisco branch of the National Chamber of the Restaurant (Canirac) has launched a campaign to encourage its members to offer discounts and promotions to customers who present proof of Covid vaccination.
“It’s a way of telling society in general to get vaccinated,” said Alberto Ávalos González, president of the organization. Around 70 restaurants have so far joined the initiative, he said.
Ávalos González said Canirac does not support the move of some countries that are now requesting proof of inoculation from customers in order for them to be permitted entry to restaurants and other establishments.
