Jon Benjamin, the United Kingdom’s ambassador to Mexico, watches carefully as Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard signs the book of condolence for the late Queen Elizabeth II that has been set up in the lobby of the British Embassy in Mexico City.
Dozens of Mexican citizens have turned up at the diplomatic mission to sign the book and pay their respects. President Manuel Lopez Obrador announced this week that Ebrard will represent him at the Queen’s funeral at Westminster Abbey in London on Monday, September 19.
