The 70th plane in the fleet of discount airline Viva Aerobus was handled by an all-female flight crew, and greeted in Mexico by an all-female ground crew.
The new Airbus A321Neo flew from Airbus headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, to the Monterrey International Airport with a few refueling stops.
Industry insiders say Viva Aerobus has stood out in its promotion of gender equality in the aviation sector. The company stresses that it “works continually to create an inclusive and equitable environment for its employees, regardless of their gender.”
