‘Joy of Moving’ aims to teach youngsters new skills & strengthen self esteem

Ferrero,  the second biggest chocolate producer and confectionery company in the world, is collaborating with the Jalisco government to kick start the “Joy of Moving,” a scientifically recognized methodology that aims to get children moving through play while developing key skills in major areas such as physical fitness, motor coordination, cognitive function, creativity and life skills.

Representatives from the Italian company joined government officials this week to present the project that will be introduced at 100 Guadalajara metropolitan area public schools during the 2023-2024 academic year.

Also this week, 100 physical education teachers from different public schools in Zapopan, Tlajomulco, Tlaquepaque, Tonala and El Salto began training sessions in the methodology. Around 45,000 children in the metro area will participate in the activities.
