Mexico comfortably outperforms its northern neighbors in the recently released 2026 World Happiness rankings, released March 19 to coincide with the UN’s International Day of Happiness.
Mexico ranks 12th globally, maintaining a high level of life satisfaction despite dropping from 10th place in 2025. Meanwhile, the United States moved up slightly to 23rd, but is still far below top-tier nations. Canada, however, dropped significantly from 18th in 2025 to 25th in 2026, continuing a long-term decline.
