Loretta Angelina Eisbrenner

Loretta Angelina Eisbrenner, a long time Guadalajara resident and past president of the American Society (Amsoc), passed away March 7 at the Hospital Santa Maria Chapalita in Guadalajara at the age of 86.

A native of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Canada, Eisbrenner moved to California, where she worked in offices and became a champion bowler.

Eisbrenner relocated to Guadalajara 24 years ago and will be long remembered for her service to Amsoc, where she served as president for two terms in the 1990s.

One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards at Amsoc’s Thursday games days. She was also very active in a local Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter Loretta and son Karl, both of California.

A memorial prayer was read at Amsoc’s March 14,  68th anniversary luncheon. A memorial mass will be held on Monday March 18, 7 p.m. at the San Juan Crisostomo Roman Catholic Church.
