A crocodile attacked and injured a tourist on the beach adjoining the Hotel Marriot in Puerto Vallarta.
The 30-year-old woman was enjoying a late evening stroll on the beach when the reptile suddenly appeared and lunged at her leg.
The screams of the victim alerted hotel security guards who rushed to her assistance. Paramedics from a private outfit arrived at the hotel within minutes and attended to a 25- to 30-centimeter wound on the woman’s lower leg. After being stabilized, she was transferred to Hospiten Puerto Vallarta, near the airport.
