Forget austere and cramped tour boats from now on! Puerto Vallarta’s tourism scene just got a massive upgrade with the launch of the “Ferry Vallarta,” a modern passenger ferry designed to boost tourism along the Banderas Bay coastline.
The service, which began operations on January 8, connects key tourist points, ending its journey in the charming and isolated village of Yelapa.
The ferry operates three days a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays — leaving from the Espigón pier in the Marina Vallarta. It makes a stop at the iconic Muelle de Los Muertos around 9:30 a.m. before heading to Yelapa.
