Outgoing governor rewards brave officers

In one of his last acts before leaving office on March 1, Jalisco Governor Emilio Gonzalez gave out financial rewards for the state police involved in fighting organized crime throughout his tenure.

Gonzalez provided incentives for 373 officers in recognition of their dangerous work in keeping Jalisco safe. He noted that the quality of their work was reflected in the fact that his successor Aristoteles Sandoval has opted to renew the contract of Jalisco Police Chief Carlos Najera and his team.
