Sudden spike in dengue cases

The number of dengue fever cases reported in Jalisco spiked suddenly last month, with 69 cases recorded from June 23 to 29.

A total of 355 cases have been reported in the state so far this year, meaning 69 in just one week is well above average. Tlaquepaque and Amatitan were the worst hit municipalities with 11 new cases each, while Guadalajara recorded six and Zapopan just two.
