‘Top 15’ fugitive may be living near you

A recent report in a Mexican newspaper has suggested that David Benjamin Creamer, a fugitive from justice facing child pornography charges in the United States, may be living in either the Lake Chapala, Guadalajara or Puerto Vallarta areas.

Wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Creamer was detained 15 years ago for the possession and production of more than 100,000 videos depicting sexual abuse of minors and bestiality.  According to the USMS, between 1994 and 1995 Creamer earned more than two million dollars selling compact discs featuring the sexual abuse of minors aged between four and 16.

Creamer was arrested in 1997 and charged with 23 felony counts, including child pornography, money laundering, tax evasion, and the illegal possession of 70 firearms.

He escaped immediately after posting bail.  There are unconfirmed reports that Mexican Immigration has a record of him entering the country by air, at Guadalajara airport.

In November 2000, Creamer  was made a USMS “Top 15” fugitive.

Creamer is a white male, aged 66, with blue eyes, weighing 250 pounds and with a height of 5’10”. He is balding, wears glasses and police say most likely he still has a mustache and beard. Police say he has a fascination with Harley Davidson motorcycles, likes to wear Mexican wedding shirts (guayaberas), smokes heavily and takes medication for diabetes.

Although the USMS has not issued a news release regarding Creamer since April 2000, a recent article on pedophiles in Mexico penned by well-known investigative reporter Lydia Cacho suggested that the fugitive spends his time moving between Chapala, Ajijic, Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara. This newspaper, however,  has not been able to corroborate the veracity of the report with U.S. or Mexican authorities.
