Chapala is one of 15 Jalisco municipalities designated for an auditing process to examine the spending of federal funds during 2018.
The first nine months of last year correspond to the administration of previous Mayor Javier Degollado González, while the subsequent three months pertain to the current government. The check of accounts, jointly handled by state and federal auditing agencies, started on August 7.
