This week, people between 18 and 29 years of age in 91 municipalities of Jalisco received their first anti-Covid jabs, as the initial stage of the federal Covid vaccination program drew to a close.
As of October 8, all adult residents of the state will have had the opportunity to obtain a vaccine, Jalisco Health Secretary Fernando Petersen said. Residents who for one reason or another have yet to be vaccinated will be able to register for a jab in the subsequent days, he said.
Six million shots have been applied in Jalisco since the vaccination program started in January, Petersen confirmed.
