Recycling coming to a place near you

Guadalajara City Hall has teamed up with the NGO Tianguis del Recycle to schedule collection points for electronic waste and other recyclables at different points of the municipality on a daily basis.

Electronic devices, alkaline batteries, lithium, glass, aluminum, plastic and PET, paper and cardboard, tetrapaks, lamps, and other recyclable items are accepted. All must be delivered in clean condition and properly separated. “The aim of the initiative is to provide citizens with an alternative to dispose of their electronic and recyclable waste,” said City Hall spokesperson Beatriz Marín Maisterra. The daily schedule of routes and collection points, operating Tuesday through Sunday, can be consulted on Facebook at @tianguisdelrecycle. Tianguis del Recycle also  collaborates with the Zapopan and Tlajomulco governments.
