The online platform to register children rom 5 to 11 years old for Covid shots reopened Wednesday for new appointments.

In the “second round” of the campaign, vaccinations are tentatively scheduled to start next week in outlying regions of Jalisco, including the Lake Chapala area. The only vaccine administered to children is Pfizer-BioTech.
Meanwhile, as the daily number of Covid-19 infections increases amid the “fifth wave” of the pandemic, the four largest municipalities in the Guadalajara metropolitan area (Guadalajara, Zapopan, Tlaquepaque and Tonala) have installed free testing labs outside their presidencias (city halls).
