Cops display prize-winning photos

Winners received prizes this week in a competition featuring more than 100 photographs taken by Jalisco police and traffic officers, as well as other security personnel.

The thrust of the project was to allow the officials to show their day-to-day experiences, and aspects of their work they consider important and rarely highlighted.  Said State Public Security Secretary Juan Bosco Agustín Pacheco Medrano: “Their work is not only about arresting delinquents, expediting traffic infractions or taking care of our prisons. It is also coexistence, fraternity with people, giving them the most valuable thing that every human being has - physical integrity and protecting their lives when necessary.”
