After finishing fifth in the regular season standings, the Guadalajara Chivas will play the Mexico City Pumas (UNAM)in the quarter finals of the Liga Mx Apertura 2023 soccer tournament.
The two games are scheduled Thursday, November 30 and Sunday, December 3. Chivas were the runners up in the Clausura 2023 tournament held from January to May, but have not won a Liga Mx title since 2017.
Meanwhile, the Astros de Jalisco lead 3-2 after five games of the National Professional Basketball League zonal final series, following a 94-85 win over the Libertadores de Queretaro Thursday. Games six and seven are scheduled on December 4 and 5.
