Jalisco’s Tourism Secretary, Michelle Fridman, has announced the launch of a new winter route by Air Canada connecting Guadalajara and Toronto. Starting November 4 and running through April 29, Air Canada will offer three weekly flights on the new route.
In addition, Air Transat will begin operating direct flights from Guadalajara to Montreal, marking the first time this route has been available. The airline plans to operate two weekly flights from December 13 to April 19, using an Airbus A321.
These new services will bring the total number of direct flights from Guadalajara to Canada to four. Flair Airlines currently offers flights to Vancouver and Toronto, which began in May and September 2024, respectively.
Fridman made the announcements at the Tianguis Turístico 2025, Mexico’s largest tourism trade fair, being held this year in Tijuana. She praised the success of the event, highlighting several airline agreements that were signed, “which will ultimately translate into more visitors, more flights, and other benefits.”
