Astros mediocre in debut season

The Astros de Jalisco, in their inaugural season in the Mexican Professional Basketball League (LNBP), are struggling to make the playoffs.

The Guadalajara-based franchise is in sixth place in the nine-team western division standings, with eight games to go in the regular season, which ends December 31. However, the team has jelled after an awful start to the season, and has an outside change of making it to the post season if results go their way.
