Astros mediocre in debut season

The Astros de Jalisco, in their inaugural season in the Mexican Professional Basketball League (LNBP), are struggling to make the playoffs.

The Guadalajara-based franchise is in sixth place in the nine-team western division standings, with eight games to go in the regular season, which ends December 31. However, the team has jelled after an awful start to the season, and has an outside change of making it to the post season if results go their way.

Fans can enjoy four more regular season homes games this month. They are:

Vs.  San Luis Potosi Santos, Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11, 8 p.m.

Vs. Mexicali Soles, Friday, December 27, 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 29, 4 p.m.

Home games are played at the Polideportivo Avila Camacho, Av. Manuel Avila Camacho, Colonia Jardines de Country. Online ticket sales at boletomovil.com.
