Official start
Well here it is, the first week of December, the official first week of “High Season.”
Highway expansion
There is only one highway to get to La Manzanilla from anywhere and that’s Highway 200.
I have to confess that I was pretty smug about being able to deal with summer in Mexico. After all, I grew up on the shores of Lake Erie, worked on the family farm, and went to sleep in a house with no air-conditioner.
Pedro back on the beach
When I first arrived in La Manzanilla ten years ago, I wandered about exploring the town.
The ambulance is here
Several years ago, two residents of La Manzanilla, Dan Crosby and Cruz Gomez, spearheaded a project to raise money to buy an ambulance for our town.
Still coming up
The Night under the Stars Auction takes place Saturday, February 23, 6 to 9:30 p.m. It includes not only the silent auction but a delicious Mexican dinner, as well as live music, folkloric dancers, local talent and children’s performance. Don’t miss out on the fun.
