Mexico approves Cuba’s Covid vaccine

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador defended Mexico’s federal health regulator, Cofepris (Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios), after the institution approved the Abdalá Covid-19 vaccine developed by Cuba.

No vaccines planned for under 15s

Even though children as young as 5 years of age are getting anti Covid jabs in many countries, Mexico is not considering including anyone under 15 years of age in its inoculation program, Deputy Health Minister Hugo López-Gatell confirmed this week.
