Mexico’s Christmas season is still not over

Navidad and Año Nuevo festivities have come and gone, but Mexico’s Christmas season will roll on for yet another four weeks. Celebrations still to come are Dia de los Tres Reyes (Three Kings Day) on  January 6, and Dia de la Candelaria (Candlemas), the seasonal wrap-up on February 2.

Cost of holiday meals soars

A holiday meal for 15 people at home will cost about 17,100 pesos this year, a 17-percent increase from 2024, according to the National Alliance of Small Businesses (ANPEC).
