The Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra (OFJ) presents the eighth and final concert program of the 2023 winter/spring season Thursday, March 30, 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 2, 1230 p.m. at the Teatro Degollado in Guadalajara.
OFJ musical director José Luis Castillo takes the baton for a program featuring two classic works by Russian masters: Prokófiev’s Sinfonia Concertante and Stravinski’s Petrushka.
The invited soloist is Salzburg-based Italian cellist Giovanni Gnocchi, who has played with some of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Mozart, London Symphony, Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, and appeared at dozens of music festivals worldwide.
