Sabado #1, the first in a series of Saturday cultural activities to be held once a month at Ajijic’s waterfront Malecon, will take place on March 16.
The inauguration, set for 11 a.m., will be followed by a reading workshop for children, 12 to 2 p.m. The program continues with the performance of Batucada percussion group, 3 p.m.; a talk on composition in plastic art led by artist Xitotl, 4 p.m.; poetry readings, 5:15 p.m.; and an appearance of the rock group Galactic Hornets, 6 p.m. All events are open to the public free of charge.
