Therapist brings her focus on ‘daring to live from your heart’ to big screen

The Mexico premiere of the documentary “Showing Up: Dare to Live from Your Heart” is Monday, February 27, 12:30 p.m. at CINE+Lago Theater in Ajijic.

pg10aIt will include a live mariachi performance before the showing and a lively Q&A session after the film with producer and writer Nancy Hill and director Keith Kelly.

The film combines the wisdom of experts and stories of regular people who face their fear and keep going. It offers a refreshing heart-warming perspective on life, focusing on people finding their passion and doing it for themselves.

“It took decades for me to realize that life naturally unfolds and to remember that is a delicious way to live,” says “Showing Up” producer and therapist Nancy Hill. “My great passion is helping women trust their own process and find their own voice. I lead women’s circles, write, create workshops and retreats to do just that.”

Hill has a Master’s degree in social work and has been active in the helping professions for 40 years. “To say that I’m a seasoned professional is to say that curry is a bit spicy.” Her first book, “Unfolding; Slow Down, Drop In, Dare More,” published in  2013, was a catalyst for this film.
