Murder, mayhem, laughs at Bare Stage

Who doesn’t enjoy an afternoon of manipulation, betrayal, deception, and revenge in a murder mystery? That’s what’s in store in the Bare Stage production of “The Art of Murder” by Joe DiPietro, showing Friday to Sunday, October 30 and 31 and November 1.

In a remote estate in the Connecticut countryside, Jack Brooks awaits the imminent arrival of his flamboyant art dealer Vincent. But the visit is not a standard one, for Jack feels wronged, and he intends to kill the man. As Jack lays out his intentions for the evening, his wife Annie calmly paints. Harried and annoyed, Vincent arrives. Will Jack carry out his plan? Will Annie help him? Or is something else going on? The plot twists to the final turn and keeps the audience in suspense and laughing.

Roseann Wilshere and Florette Schnell direct the talented cast of Linda Freeman, Rex Gale, Brian Kaulback, and Lisa Safran.

All shows are at 4 p.m. Seats are held until 3:50 p.m. Tickets are 200 pesos for each of the three shows. Reservations: barestagetheatre2018@gmail.com.
