Quirky Quebec art shows drawing big crowds

Two highly enjoyable art exhibitions from the Canadian province of Quebec are on display in the Cabañas Cultural Institute as part of the May Cultural Festival: “Dominique Lemieux’s Imagining Characters,” a magical collection of costumes, props and artwork from the world famous Cirque de Soleil; and “Candid,” a satire of human nature comprised of 35 installations, videos, photographs and paintings.

To get an idea of the horror caused by the April 22, 1992 explosions in Guadalajara, head over to the Centro Cultural Patio Los Angeles (Cuautla and 28 de enero) in the Analco neighborhood of the city, near the old bus station (Central Viejo).
