  • Date changes for official visits at LCS

    Due to scheduling conflicts, the Lake Chapala Society has changed the July dates for services offered by officials from Chapala’s Ministerio Público (MP) and the U.S. Consulate American Citizen Services (ACS) unit.

  • New schedule of US Consulate visits to Lake Chapala area

    U.S. citizens who need to renew or add pages to their passports, do notarials or report a lost/stolen passport can meet with U.S. Consulate staff to submit applications or to notarize documents during the staff’s monthly visit to the Lake Chapala Society and the American Legion Post 7.

  • US Consulate hosts vibrant holiday party

    The United States Consulate in Guadalajara put on a lively bash to celebrate the 238th U.S. Independence Day — held this year for the first time in the Patio de Cristal of the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara (UAG) in the upmarket suburb of Lomas de Valle. About 90 percent of the consulate’s staff members were there to greet guests and generally keep the social extravaganza moving smoothly.
