Be scared at the ‘Circus of Fears’

An off-the-wall new spectacular, ”El circo de los miedos” (The circus of fears), has opened for a short holiday season in a big tent in Cuidad Granja.

The show, which uses 100 percent Mexican talent, is wrapped around a horror theme and features jugglers, contortionists, clowns and typical circus fare – but no animals.

The show tries to break the stereotypes of a traditional circus and includes plenty of humor. Spectators will surely recognize many personalities from well-known horror movies.

The show will run for three weeks  before going on the road to other Mexican cities. Tickets for the first week are almost sold out, but many are available for later shows.

Performances are Tuesday to Thursday, 8:45 p.m. and Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 and 9 p.m. Tickets cost 190 and 390 pesos. VIP tickets are 790 pesos.  Children from six years and up are admitted.

The big tent is located at Calzada Nueva 47, Colonia Ciudad Granja, to one side of the Universidad Panamericana.
