Ajijic’s International Institute will open its doors to the public on Saturday, July 7, noon to 4 p.m., to introduce the community to the school’s unique education model and learning programs available to junior- and senior-high level students for the 2012-1213 academic term.
The open house will allow visitors to meet students and staff, get a sampling of classroom activities, observe presentations derived from the institute’s enrichment program in the arts and obtain information about the curriculum and enrollment.
The institute’s educational philosophy is based on three core values: scholarship, global responsibility and self-expression. The teaching program emphasizes rigorous academics, with instruction in English and Spanish. Small classroom size allows personalized attention to meet the individual needs of each student. Training in sports and artistic pursuits are enhanced through partnerships with experts in diverse fields and various local organizations.
