The crowd gathered at the Chapala cemetery for the annual American Legion Post 7 Day of the Dead picnic raised a toast at the grave of departed pal John Rafferty.
Held on November 2 in keeping with local custom, the informal outing is an occasion to honor the memory of military veterans and all expat residents buried on the grounds.
