Lakeside’s Los Güeros motorcycle club and American Legion Post Seven have once again banded together to spread some Christmas cheer among local children.
The two groups wheeled into the parking lot of Chapala police headquarters on Saturday, December 12, for the first stop on their annual Toy Run – modified this year due to the Covid pandemic – to hand out scores of gifts for the offspring of local law enforcement officers.
Led there by Los Güeros President Doug Friend, Post Seven Commander Larry Nottingham and Legion Auxiliary President Gloria Allen, the Santa’s helpers were welcomed by Mayor Moisés Anaya, Police Sub-commander Gustavo Anaya and City Hall legal counselor Isaac Trejo, and a crowd of off-duty officers and their families.
