The Guadalajara and Chapala Disc Golf Clubs will be holding a PDGA-approved tournament April 16 to 18 in the Parque La Cristiania on Chapala’s waterfront.
The 18-hole course, founded by Terry Vidal of Riders of the Sierra Madre, has a wide range of both challenging and beautiful holes that can be enjoyed by disc golf players of all skill levels.
Said organizers: “We are excited to host the best players in Mexico, including groups from Monterrey and Mexico City along with local expats, gifted participants from Chapala and experts arriving from Guadalajara.”
Three men’s categories (beginners, intermediate and advanced) along with a women’s open group offer opportunities for anyone who would like to participate.
This low-cost, easy-to-learn sport plays much like golf and can be enjoyed by anyone at any age, while providing healthy exercise and warm camaraderie.
