Weekly Worship - June 03, 2023

Lakeside Presbyterian

Sunday, June 4, Pastor Wayne will talk about “The Supremacy of Christ: Lesson from the book of Hebrews.”

“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.”

The book of Hebrews is a letter written to Jewish Christians who were facing persecution. The author of Hebrews is encouraging them to remain faithful to Jesus Christ who is supreme over everyone who came before him. English-language service begins at 9:30 a.m. Spanish service begins 11 a.m. The English service also streams each Sunday at facebook.com/LPCChapala.

There is coffee and refreshments after the service in the Narthex.

Everyone is welcome to Wednesday drop-in Bible study at 10 a.m.

Abundant Life Church

Would you recognize Jesus if you came across him on the street? This is not a question of if you have seen an artist’s rendition of Jesus in the past but rather if you could pick him out based on who he is? Come Sunday, June 4, as we take time to discover that even his disciples at times could not recognize him. We want to know Jesus just as the apostle Paul declared (Phil 3:10). Come and discover how that happens. We want to avoid anything that would veil Jesus from us!

Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico. English-language services are Sunday, 10:30 a.m. Bible study in English is held at 11 a.m. each.
