American Legion Post 14 and the Puerto Vallarta Navy League invite U.S. Canadian and Mexican citizens to celebrate Remembrance Day and Veterans Day at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 11 at Steve’s Sports Bar (Post 14 headquarters) for free coffee and pastries (breakfast can be purchased).
At 10:40 a.m. the group will walk down to Lazaro Cardenas Park for an 11 a.m. service. Poppies will be available.
Also on November11, starting at 9:30 a.m., an 18-hole scramble will be held at Flamingos Golf Club, open to military veterans of any country and their guests The 1,300-peso entrance fee includes green fees, cart, food and beverages. A veteran must play in each foursome.
The Navy League is sponsoring a Swiss-German Buffet on Saturday, November 12, 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Coco Tropical Restaurant. A 500- peso donation includes a massive buffet and live entertainment. This is a fundraiser for the Navy League’s numerous community relations projects.
