The Culinary Arts Society of Ajijic (CASA) enjoyed a Mexican gourmet fiesta at its September 24 meeting.
Evelin and Kendra are the oldest of three children, raised by a single mother. They live in Chapala, in a shack with no electricity or running water.
On September 15, approximately 70 guests attended the Niños de Chapala y Ajijic (NCA) Moroccan-themed “Rock the Casbah” fundraiser, dining on Chicken Tagine, served with rice, seeded rolls and a tantalizing Moroccan carrot salad.
