Folk dance
The famed Universidad de Guadalajara Ballet Folklorico troupe began its summer season at the Teatro Degollado Sunday morning. These stunning shows will take place at the theater each Sunday through October 11.
Campus Party
This week, several thousand developers, gamers, geeks and hackers descended on Expo Guadalajara for Campus Party 2015. The five-day, round-the-clock technology festival is a magnet for tech savvy folks, many of whom camp out in tents on the Expo floor for the duration of the event.
Farmer’s markets
As more Tapatios become aware of the benefits of eating sustainably produced food, more farmer’s market spring up in the metro area. Perhaps the most well-known is the one held in the plush Andares Mall in Zapopan each Saturday morning. But there are others, some held in he driveways of private homes. Here’s a selection.
