The Lake Chapala Society (LCS) will continue to offer its facilities as a site for the U.S. voter assistance program run by the Lake Chapala chapter of Democrats Abroad. The same space will also be made available—on alternate days—for any Republican or conservative group that applies to provide a similar service.
Anyone keen to immerse themselves in the intricate tapestry of Mexico’s culture, history, and contemporary affairs can look forward to a two-week seminar series sponsored by the Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (LCUUF), set to begin on Monday, August 4.

A storm and a great fish preserved him; Nineveh’s repentance revealed God’s mercy for even the unlikely. Jonah’s anger met God’s gentle correction, exposing a heart still in need of transformation. The Ninevites, spiritually blind, were still within God’s compassionate reach. Through it all, we see a God who lovingly pursues, teaches, and restores. His mercy still calls today—inviting all, no matter how far they’ve run, to return, repent, and follow Him.
Heart of Awareness

Wednesday, July 23, 4 to 6:15 p.m. One hour of meditation followed by a live talk or video.
