And whereas those north of the border have reserved December 25 for the distribution of gifts brought by Santa Claus’ drop down the family chimney the night before, Mexican children full of expectations traditionally have eagerly awaited the day of the Three Kings, January 6, to see whether their heart’s deepest wishes have been fulfilled by Niño Dios—the infant Jesus.
