Riding a bicycle on the streets of Guadalajara can be a frightening prospect for many people, even with the ongoing installation of dedicated cycle paths across the metropolitan area.

It is not exactly drudgery to write about a new South Asian restaurant in a city that has only a handful, so I didn’t have to be dragged to Siam, located half a block from bustling Avenida Chapultepec in midtown Guadalajara. 

Ajijic’s nascent trash separation and recycling program is under way as of this week, with the first round of plastic and metal refuse pickup starting Saturday, November 3.
