Eight Nobel Prize winners are among 370 leading economists who have signed a letter noting that Donald Trump displays “a deep ignorance of economics,” warning that his election as president poses “a unique danger to the functioning of democratic and economic institutions and to the prosperity of the country.” The economists do not endorse or mention Hillary Clinton but urge Americans not to vote for the Republican candidate.
